Young Peoples Chorus Empty
PostSubject: Young Peoples Chorus   Young Peoples Chorus EmptyThu 19 Jan ŕ 12:30

Over the past nine years, the Young People's Chorus of New York City has united thousands of culturally and economically diverse New York City children in the pursuit of artistic and personal excellence. On March 13, 2006, the YPC will hold its 9th Annual Gala Benefit at the legendary Copacabana. This year we will be joined by Special Guests Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Rosanne Cash, Broadway actor/singer/Emmy-nominated “Guiding Light” star Ron Raines, and internationally-acclaimed heart transplant surgeon and bestselling author Dr. Mehmet Oz. We hope you will join us in supporting this exceptional organization.

YPC’s after school programs give children ages 8-26 a complete music education program and unique performance opportunities. Our choristers have participated in festivals and competitions across the USA and the world. Their hard work has been rewarded with numerous honors and awards, including two Gold Medals at the 2004 Choir Olympics in Bremen, Germany, the 2005 Chorus America/ASCAP award for Adventurous Programming, and an invitation to represent the United States at the 2005 World Symposium on Choral Music in Kyoto, Japan. In addition, the YPC is the resident choir of both the 92nd Street Y and radio station WNYC New York.

The Young People’s Chorus conducts intensive programs in the New York City public schools. Our Partner School Program recruits at-risk children from inner-city schools and provides them with full scholarships for participation in the YPC’s after-school program, while the Satellite School Program is bringing music education back into schools in five public schools in Harlem, the Bronx, Chinatown, Washington Heights/Inwood and the Lower East Side.

The Annual Gala is our main fundraiser and we hope that you will join us in supporting New York City’s children. Your assistance will allow us to continue to reach our city’s most at-risk youth—those children most in need of the services that we provide.

Silent Auction donations: We are asking business owners and retailers to donate item(s) or service(s) that will be auctioned the evening of the Gala. Donors will be prominently listed in the Gala Journal and any promotional materials. (Donation Agreement form attached)

Journal Advertisements: We are asking business owners, retailers, or individuals to purchase an advertisement in our Gala Journal. The Journal will be distributed at the Gala and will reach an audience of 300+ upscale New Yorkers. (Journal Advertising form attached)

Contributions: We ask you to send a financial contribution today to help YPC reach as many young people throughout New York City as possible. All financial contributions will be prominently listed in the Gala Journal and any promotional materials.

Patron Tables and Individual Tickets: Please join us at our 9th Annual Gala! We are asking business owners to purchase a Corporate table at $5,000, which includes ten priority seating tickets and a full-page ad in the evening’s Gala Journal. We are also asking individuals to purchase a Patron table of ten at $3,000, which includes a Patron listing in the Gala Journal, or individual seats at $300 per person. To secure your table, please contact Felicity Crew at (212) 289-7779 ext. 17. It’s sure to be a wonderful evening!

We thank you in advance for your help and look forward to working together to benefit New York City’s children.

Sincerely,
Nancy Bloom Suzan Kremer Robert Neis Roger Ross
